Camila Arnold was raised in Germany, where she received most of her musical training. She started piano lessons at the age of 10. She was soon accepted at the local conservatory in Erlangen/Germany. In 1987 she moved on to the Christian-Ernst-Gymnasium, a music school, a performing arts academy. She began her vocal training at age 15 under Norma Lerer in Nürnberg/Germany and Professor Charlotte Lehmann in Hannover/Germany. She performed as “Nancy” in the musical “Oliver” at the Theater in Erlangen/Germany. She also performed as a soloist in various concerts and recitals. In 1989 she was awarded a scholarship for outstanding vocal performance. In 1990 she graduated from the Christian-Ernst-Gymnasium and was immediately accepted at the Music University in Würzburg. Before finishing her studies she moved to the USA/California where she spent the next 6 years in Los Angeles. During this time she performed as part of a vocal ensemble with up to 4000 participants. She was also featured as a soloist in one of their songs, recorded at the A&M Record Studio, Hollywood, Los Angeles. In 1998 she moved to San Diego County and has performed as a soloist with the Palomar Choral. She is featured as soloist on the Perti CD, which was released in the fall of 2001. In May of 2001, she sang with the San Diego Opera in the Verdi Requiem. In December of 2001, she gave a series of Christmas concerts featuring rare Christmas carols from all over the world in their original languages. Ms. Arnold has also sung with The First Presbyterian Church in Oceanside and Trinity Church in Escondido. In February of 2002 she was named the Musical Director for the community theater, Arts Off Broadway, at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido. In December of 2002 her first CD featuring classical, inspirational vocal music was released and is available for sale now. Ms. Arnold performs regularly in Vienna/Austria for the Austrian Society of Music and the Austrian Society of Contemporary Music as well as for the Vienna Music Festival Weeks. She is the co-founder of the Austrian Californian Society of Music (ACSOM) with headquarters in Los Angeles. Ms. Arnold performs as featured soprano soloist with orchestras, in chamber music concerts, and solo recitals within California and nationally. As a former resident of Front Royal, Virginia, Ms. Arnold conducted voice camps and a glee club at Mountain Laurel Montessori School and has performed with Winchester Musica Viva in their Fall concert of 2015.

Dr. Sarah Lopez offers private voice lessons in her studio at our store. Dr. Lopez has enjoyed a life career of teaching voice for more than 30 years. Dr. Lopez earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Voice Performance from USC and her Ph.D from UCSD where she studied the effects of lullabies and play songs on newborn infants. Having had a successful career winning first place as the Young Artist of the Future for the City of Los Angeles, Sarah has soloed with major symphony orchestras in opera at the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion in Los Angeles and musical theater productions earning her reviews for her lustrous voice and sincere acting abilities. She continues to sing professionally in her own trio, singing original arrangements of Latin jazz, Bossa Nova and classical music. Dr. Lopez has taught voice at Palomar College, UCSD, USC and MiraCosta College for 27 years. She is also the choir director at Garrison Elementary Glee and in her private studio in San Marcos. Many of Sarah’s students have gone on to have professional careers on Broadway, singing in Europe and New York as well as leading roles in television series, musical theater and opera. Her students also go on to teach voice and music. Her traditional Bel Canto and cutting edge vocal techniques have served students in the recording industry in pop, R&B, country, rock and rap styles. Dr. Lopez is continually studying the best methods of voice training that produce well-rounded, genuine, creative and unique vocal and acting talents. She is also trained as a certified Listening Fitness Trainer in Canada.
Dr. Lopez is dedicated to teaching each student on their own level so each can realize their dreams and aspirations to become the best singer possible. Her focus on the body as the instrument, and the “think” system are grounded in her work with the Alexander Technique used by famous singers, actors and dancers. It is remarkable how optimizing posture and learning mental directions of energy and sound put the voice and the singer in right relationship for outstanding results. Sarah is an enthusiastic and inspiring voice teacher who is wise, patient and effective. Most students are amazed at how much they learn that they can continue to work on their own with noticeable improvement every week. Whether it's for sheer pleasure and fun or for a professional musical career, Dr. Lopez is dedicated to serving the needs and dreams of each student to help them realize their full potential and talent.
